EMAL
"Every Man A Lute"

Frosty's motto was represented by the acronym "EMAL" -- Every Man A Lute. It was on practice jerseys, throughout the locker room, and along the sideline. No player ever wore a number 1 jersey and the only name on the back of the jerseys was LUTES. Frosty preached the concept of the servant-warrior, the player who exists to serve and not be served. "You're part of something bigger than yourself," he says. "If you're used to being served, this isn't the place for you. There are no soloists at PLU, only the choir."
